Top 11 Amazing Marvel Movies on Netflix to Watch in 2023

The year 2023 is shaping up to be a busy one for Marvel fans.

Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about, to begin with a new crop of films and TV programming.

The Marvel movies on Netflix’s 2023 roster are official, and the MCU Phase 5 titles appear more promising than this year’s lacklustre Marvel flicks.

Beginning with the third Ant-Man film in February, the next instalments in the Multiverse Saga will take us into previously unknown areas of the MCU.

About the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Iron Man, Tony Stark, inaugurated Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2008.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe films are a sequence of American superhero movies based on characters from Marvel Comics.

All of the films are in the same shared universe.

We’ve seen a plethora of Marvel films, both good and awful.

From the depths of The Incredible Hulk and the first two Thor films to the pinnacles of Iron Man and Captain America, Marvel supplied us with many superhero fodders in cinema and on television.

It is the most successful film franchise of all time. All of Marvel Studios’ films are released in ‘phases.

These include the Infinity Saga, Multiverse Saga, and Future.

The MCU’s 2023 films are all sequels that allow fans another chance to see some of the franchise’s most popular characters.

Summary of the 11 best Marvel movies on Netflix

If you want to watch Marvel movies on Netflix, we’ve got you covered. These are the Marvel flicks that will be released in theatres this year.

1. Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania

Release date:February 17, 2023

Ant-Man is the favourite character of people due to his impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I like Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, but I’m not crazy about the plot, antagonists, or superpowers that Ant-Man offers.

The film was mediocre, not even allowing audiences to giggle at how horrible the movie was.

Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror was the best thing to come out of this film.

Kang was wearing his comic book-accurate metallic purple and green, and it looked good.

2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Release date:May 5, 2023

Guardians of the Galaxy is one of those Marvel movies on Netflix that has always been a wonderful time with its quirky charm and daring space escapades, but with Rocket’s history, they hit fans right in the feelings.

The premise, as previously said, concentrates on Rocket Raccoon’s past and Peter Quill dealing with a Gamora who doesn’t recognize him. So it’s not all about corny jokes this period.

Chukwudi Iwuji excels as the principal antagonist, imbuing the High Evolutionary with a dark aura severely lacking in previous Marvel movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the final film for this iteration of the crew.

From the start, Marvel Studios’ marketing for the film hinted at an emotional plot that, among other things, delves into Rocket’s beginnings.

The High Evolutionary is a legendary MCU villain, and Adam Warlock finally fulfils a Vo. 2 tease. While the film concludes Gunn’s tenure with Marvel, it is distant from the end of Marvel’s cosmic side.

3. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Release date:June 2, 2023

I’ve been anticipating the sequel to Spider-Verse since seeing the first film in 2018.

This time, Miles appears to be exploring numerous parallel universes alongside a returning Gwen Stacy and Oscar Issac as Spider-Man 2099.

They set the initial release date for 2022, but moved back to 2023, giving the animators ample time to ensure the sequel lived up to its predecessor’s reputation.

The trailer of this one of the top Marvel movies on Netflix introduces us to the film’s plot. Miles Morales will travel across the Multiverse, this time with Gwen Stacy and a few more variations of your favourite neighbourhood spider.

4. What If…?

Release date:spring of 2023

Marvel’s animated anthology, suited to the Multiverse Saga, returns for a second season, containing nine episodes that will once again investigate MCU what-ifs.

It would become one of the top Marvel movies on Netflix due to its beautiful characters.

Footage from the first episode, narrated by Jeffrey Wright, who plays The Watcher, has Peggy Carter fighting against her old flame Steve Rogers, piloting the HYDRA Stomper – making her Captain America to his Winter Soldier in an intriguing switcheroo.

With Doctor Strange and the Hulk appearing in the official torturer, the possibilities are limitless.

5. The Avengers

Release date: July 28, 2023

This film is a follow-up to both the Captain Marvel film and the Ms Marvel Disney+ series.

It also includes one of WandaVision’s superpowered girls. None of this seems appealing to me.

The original Captain Marvel film was mediocre, the Ms Marvel Disney+ program was mediocre, and Monica Rambeau was only adequate, but I have no thoughts about her.

Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will be joined by Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms Marvel, in The Marvels. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) will also return, while Zawe Ashton has been cast as the film’s villain, Dar-Benn, with Park Seo-Joon playing a mysterious part.

6. Secret Invasion

Release date:spring 2023

The Skrulls have returned. The extraterrestrial race last seen in Captain Marvel will take a role in this adaptation of the 2008 Marvel Comics series in which shape-shifting superheroes are in this one of the best Marvel movies on Netflix.

S.H.I.E.L.D. mainstay Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) leads the fight against this secret infiltration.

Other familiar faces include Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill and Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes — aka War Machine.

Emilia Clarke from Game of Thrones and Oscar winner Olivia Colman, who plays Special Agent Sonya Falsworth, are among the newcomers.

This six-parter, slated to be the first Marvel television show of Phase Five, could very well lay the stage for events in The Marvels.

7. Echo

Release date:Summer 2023

You may refer to it as a deep cut. Last year, Alaqua Cox debuted as Echo, aka Maya Lopez, the leader of the Tracksuit Mafia, a group of criminals working for Kingpin, Vincent D’Onofrio’s formidable villain and an enemy of blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) on Marvel’s Hawkeye.

She was one of Daredevil’s love draws in the comics (as well as Kingpin’s embraced daughter, which evolved into an uncle-niece connection in Hawkeye). Cox and D’Onofrio are scheduled to return, along with a predominantly indigenous character.

8. Loki

Release date:Summer 2023

Loki, Marvel’s most nefarious figure, will return for a second season of his solo TV program, which will most certainly be as time-bending as the first.

Of course, Tom Hiddleston returns as Thor’s evil brother, alongside Owen Wilson (Mobius) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Ravonna Renslayer).

The most intriguing disclosure is that co-directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson have directed the episodes.

Following their work on Marvel’s Moon Knight, these two have created some distinctive sci-fi indies (The Endless, Synchronic) in recent years, and they appear to be well suited to Loki’s looping course.

9. Kraven The Hunter

Release date:October 6, 2023

Tracking in the footsteps of Venom and Morbius, we get another origin story for a beloved Spider-Man antagonist. It could be one of the top Marvel movies on Netflix and will not be a complete flop, as Morbius was.

Kraven is a Hunter, and he considers Spidey his prey, and I believe we can anticipate him to appear in a Spider-Man film soon.

The film will include Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s return to the MCU, despite my preference for Jason Momoa.

He previously played Quicksilver in Age of Ultron but was abruptly killed off. I hope they fix this in some way.

Kraven Hunter’s origins remain mainly unknown.

Early in the film’s story, it was rumoured that it was based on Kraven’s Last Hunt, a classic comic narrative in which Kraven chases down Spider-Man.

One of the film’s writers even stated that Kraven will meet Spider-Man in the movie.

There has been no assurance that Spider-Man will appear in Kraven the Hunter, let alone whether Tom Holland or someone else will recreate the web-slinger.

Taylor-Johnson has also committed to many movies, so this might be the beginning of a promising future for the personality in Sony’s Spider-Man universe.

10. Ironheart

Release date:Autumn 2023

Dominique Thorne’s MIT bright-spark student Riri Williams was a purposeful source placed by writer-director Coogler in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Now he’s working on Ironheart, a six-part series that will spotlight Williams.

She’s already created an armoured armour akin to Iron Man’s. And she’ll undoubtedly need it after rubbing shoulders with tattooed super-criminal The Hood, played by Anthony Ramos from In the Heights.

An early video at D23 delivered him luring her into stealing technology from an MIT lab while wearing a hooded robe with mystical powers.

11. Agatha: Coven of Chaos

Release date: Winter 2023

Kathryn Hahn’s nosy neighbour Agnes — eventually revealed to be a spell-casting witch Agatha — a spectacular breakout character from WandaVision, now has her program.

The plot details for Coven of Chaos, formerly named Agatha: House of Harkness, is mainly unknown, and Hahn will rejoin Emma Caulfield, who portrayed Dottie/Sarah Proctor on the program.

Aubrey Plaza from The White Lotus joins the cast as Joe Locke from Heartstopper. There will be a bunch of witchy mayhem.
