Javed Afridi cuts PSL draft over Ramiz Raja’s controversial statements

Javed Afridi is the owner of Peshawar Zalmi. He did not attend Pakistan Super League (PSL) draft or the PSL Controlling Chief get-together, which happened in Karachi.

According to reports, He took this move considering perpetual remarks made by Ramiz Raja, the top of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and Faisal Hasnain, the President, concerning cricket-related practices in Peshawar.

Foreign cricketers have been advised not to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan by their specific countries, according to Faisal Hasnain, who was accessible at the MoU investigating Peshawar.

Views of Ramiz Raja about Peshawar Zalmi

Ramiz Raja counted his vote at the meeting and granted that while the PCB is ready to produce international cricket in Peshawar, new cricket players are hesitant to visit the standard capital.

The Peshawar-Zalmi connection perceives that this has deterred their undertakings to return cricket to the area. The remarks have hurt Peshawar’s standings.

Ramiz Raja had shown that Peshawar Zalmi would play each game at residence for the 2023 season of foundation cricket, while Arbab Niaz Stadium would go similarly in one of the areas.

Javed Afridi purportedly declined to change his viewpoint paying little mind to endeavors to persuade him by the cricket board’s well-informed authorities. 

Zalmi has chosen not to comment on this improvement in the meantime.
